TULSA, Okla., Dec. 1, 2015 – Stonebridge Consulting, a leading provider of business advisory and technology services for next-gen oil and gas, today announced it has been selected by a major upstream oil and gas operator in the Southwest to provide merger and acquisition (M&A) advisory services in support of an acquisition valued at more than $2 billion.
Stonebridge will provide the client with merger-integration services to ensure an efficient transition. Stonebridge will assist overall program management responsibility for developing integration work scope, objectives, timeline and milestones reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and SVP, HR and Administration.
In this role, Stonebridge is responsible for coordination between the client’s interdepartmental integration team, which includes representatives for HR, finance and accounting, SOX/internal audit, legal, land, operations, supply chain, marketing, acquisitions and divestitures, and information technology.
Stonebridge Consulting President Adam Hutchinson said, “Our client’s management team understands the importance of optimizing synergies during M&A integration. We are honored that they’ve entrusted Stonebridge with the role of M&A integration advisor for this transaction. The success of integration, which is vital to an acquisition of this size and magnitude, depends on the early identification of departmental and systemic improvements.”
Stonebridge has seen a significant uptick in its M&A advisory and technology services in 2015. According to Hutchinson, the company anticipates winning additional M&A-related consulting contracts in the fourth quarter and into 2016 as companies look to purchase bargain-priced assets amid the current drop in crude prices.
“To derive the full value of a transaction, the acquiring company benefits from a well-thought-out integration strategy and an experienced M&A advisor during execution,” Hutchinson said. “Stonebridge’s M&A Advisory Services helps our clients generate greater value from the transaction through a defined process management methodology backed by our years of experience in the oil and gas industry.”
