TULSA, Okla., July 2, 2020 – Stonebridge Consulting, a leading provider of business advisory and technology services for the energy industry, today announced the completion of a year-long digital transformation initiative for a South Texas-based oil and gas company.

The client, an integrated oil and gas company with primary operations in the Permian, had entrusted Stonebridge to guide its efforts to increase the efficiency and effectiveness across the enterprise, from the field operations to the back office and IT.

The project began with a digital readiness assessment to evaluate the data management and system needs of the organization, identify gaps and recommend next steps, and design a strategic roadmap to guide the company’s digital transformation journey.

The assessment also included peer analysis to gauge the maturity level of the company’s processes, systems and data management capabilities against similarly sized operators. The assessment findings ultimately drove five major projects.

The strategic roadmap comprised three core workstreams: operations, master data management and user-centered analytics.

  • Stonebridge’s Peloton Ready solution accelerator for WellView enabled the operator to optimize well planning, drilling, completion, testing and workovers. As part of the WellView optimization project, Stonebridge upgraded the existing instance to WellView 10.4 and migrated the system to Peloton’s new SaaS environment. Additionally Stonebridge implemented SiteView for asset data management and ProdView and ProdView Go for production data management.
  • Master Data Management. Stonebridge implemented the Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality, and Energy Portal modules of the EnerHub data management platform. The master data record consisted of attributes from four source systems: WellView, GIS, Enertia and ARIES. EnerHub MDM automatically updates master data attributes from the source systems to other systems, thereby eliminating manual data entry. EnerHub Data Quality alerts the data stewards of each system of errors and exceptions. EnerHub Energy Portal provided a one-stop shop to visualize the data.
  • User-centric Analytics. Stonebridge developed a flexible data warehousing architecture to provide robust self-service reporting capabilities and to ensure the underlying architecture was scalable and future-ready. Stonebridge implemented its upstream data model that enabled tabular reports and dashboards via Microsoft Power BI for LOS/LOE, AFE and drilling information. The goal of this initiative was to ensure user-centric analytics that delivered KPIs and other metrics to guide line-of-business decision makers, drive accountability across the organization and provide management with a high-level view of overall organizational performance.
