Project Summary
A Tulsa-based pipeline company looked to differentiate itself for the competition by improved collaboration and data analysis. The company turned to Stonebridge to develop a custom business intelligence application that would leverage its internal and external data assets, including geospatial data about its pipelines and connections. The goal was to unite all of these information sources and make it available by all departments. Stonebridge developed a data visualization environment that organized information from across the client enterprise and presented it geographically. The solution integrates asset-relevant data from internal measurement systems with GIS data. Base data is further enhanced by third-party data services and public information services. Users in all departments—financial accounting, capital budgeting, land management, field operations, marketing, accounting, and contract management—can add and filter layers of asset-centric data—e.g., a pipeline segment, known wells, gathering facilities, production volumes, drilling permits, drilling activity, competitor positions, weather, and more. All views are presented visually on a map-based interface, which enables users to get an accurate picture of the company’s operational and financial positions.
