Project Summary
A major oil and gas company based in Houston completed two significant acquisitions of well assets within the Fayetteville Shale play. Each of the acquisitions used different industry applications to manage drilling, completions, engineering, and AFE data, and the quality of portions of the acquired source data was uncertain. The client looked to Stonebridge to assess the feasibility of a structured large-scale data migration project to migrate drilling data from three acquired source systems—P2 WellCore, Peloton WellView, and Infostat Systems RIMbase—so that it can be surfaced in the client’s preferred Landmark OpenWells well lifecycle management solution. Stonebridge performed data validation from the source systems and developed a migration process that was successfully tested by the client’s data management team. The client selected Stonebridge because of its deep knowledge of oil and gas industry applications and information management.
