TULSA, Okla., Dec. 6, 2017 – A fast-growing independent oil and gas company has engaged Stonebridge Consulting as its consulting partner for a data management initiative and has selected EnerHub™, Stonebridge’s enterprise data management solution, to be the software foundation of its data management approach. Stonebridge was awarded the project in a head-to-head competition with a software-only company.
“The client chose Stonebridge and EnerHub for two business-critical reasons,” said Stonebridge Managing Director Amy Moore. “First, in a software comparison between EnerHub and a competitive software solution, they recognized EnerHub’s superior ‘out of the box’ reporting and analytics functionality and ease of use. Second, they saw the advantages of Stonebridge’s ability to manage the project from ‘end to end’ – from data and process mapping, to design and software configuration, and finally to deployment, user training and ongoing maintenance and support.”
The client is a Denver-based company focused on resource plays in the Denver-Julesburg Basin. Its data management initiative was driven by a critical need to address systemic data quality and data integration issues that were directly impacting reporting and decision making.
As part of the client’s evaluation process, Stonebridge developed an EnerHub proof of concept (POC), which included discovery sessions to identify the most critical needs. Stonebridge then configured EnerHub’s Data Quality module and analytics tools using the client’s data to demonstrate how the needs identified during discussions would be achieved.
Based on the success of the POC and EnerHub’s superior performance as compared to the competition, the client selected Stonebridge as its strategic partner to address both advisory and technology services requirements of the data management initiative.
In the new agreement, Stonebridge will facilitate a series of process workshops with key personnel from each department to identify and map interdepartmental data generation and dependencies throughout all phases of the well lifecycle. The findings will then be used to fully implement the EnerHub Data Quality module to cleanse the data and EnerHub Master Data module to synchronize data from defined systems of record to targeted enterprise systems.
Additionally, Stonebridge will develop reporting dashboards and analytic cubes using EnerHub’s Analytics module. These pre-built tools will allow the company to more confidently track high-value business metrics such as division of interest (DOI), general ledger, lease operating statement (LOS), authorization for expenditure (AFE) and production accounting.
