Voice Mail Recovery

The phone system for one of our clients crashed. They immediately contacted the manufacturer for assistance. It did not take long before the technical support department admitted that due to the age of the phone system, there was no documentation nor anyone with knowledge of their system that could help. The manufacturer, however, would be more than willing to sell them a new system.

Phone and voice mail systems have become very complex over the years with numerous bells, whistles and integrations with desktop computers. Faced with making a significant purchase decision under pressure, they contacted SB Consulting to see if recovery was an option.

During our initial conversation, it was determined that the hard drive was not spinning. Additionally based upon conversations with the phone system manufacturer, they could not provide any information regarding possible issues using different hardware. The client shipped us their hard drive and we began searching for exact replacements.

We were successful in our quest. We found two hard drives that matched our requirements and had them shipped overnight.

With the materials in hand, we were able to recover their entire system and their phone system was up and running in a few days.
