Recovery CD Recovery

Picture this. You boot up your computer in the morning just as you have the past several years. Only this time, instead of booting up properly, you see a message indicating that a file is missing or corrupt. No problem you think to yourself as you are looking for the recovery CD that came with the computer.

In a matter of no time, the computer is up and running, however, the recovery process was destructive and all the data is lost and your backups are almost a year old! That is when we were called.

We received the computer in the late afternoon via courier and began imaging the drive. The following morning, the courier picked up the computer and returned it to the company as we started our analysis on the image. Total time without the computer was estimated to be around 2 to 3 working hours.

During our evaluation, we determined that we could recover over 8650 office documents totaling over 1GB. We also determined that the bulk of the email could easily be recovered, however, recent email would need to be manually pieced together. The documents were recovered, compressed and placed on a CD and delivered to the client.
